"Remember the game last year about what color bra you were wearing at the moment? The purpose was to increase awareness of October Breast Cancer Awareness month. It was a tremendous success and we had men wondering for days what was with the colors and it made it to the news. This year's game has to do with your handbag/purse, where we put our handbag the moment we get home for example "I like it on the couch", "I like it on the kitchen counter", "I like it on the dresser" well u get the idea. Just put your answer as your status with nothing more than that and cut n paste this message and forward to all your FB female friends to their inbox. The bra game made it to the news. Let's see how powerful we women really are!!!
REMEMBER - DO NOT PUT YOUR ANSWER AS A REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE- PUT IT IN YOUR STATUS!!! PASS THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW"
Breast Cancer awareness/support/cure are very important issues to promote. I have huge respect for organisations that are committed to these causes and seek to support them any way I can. I have my own family connection to breast cancer which has caused me to have huge respect for those who have to cope with the horrible effects of this and other cancers.
I have one question, if the one reference to Breast Cancer was removed, what would you think about this message? Share
this is not the salvos it the officer who posted this and they should put it on face book not on a salvo site . it is a sad day too see a family leave the salvos it a great oranisation and it has great churchs and great people in it. sometimes people think too much and look how meny people are now talking and about breast cancer and if one person now gose and cheacks there breast or goes and donates then hey it worked . was it a silly maybe did it work and save a life lets hope.
ReplyDeleteSorry? this is a personal blog, not a Salvo site.
ReplyDeleteI have posted extensively on Facebook about the topic, to post here means I now have a link to share with people, rather than typing a new message every time someone asks about it.
I agree the Salvation Army is a great organisation and it is sad to see someone leave. I have committed my life to serving God as a Salvo Officer, which requires me to stand up against issues that affect my people and society in general. Breast Cancer is an important issue, as reflected in my post, to trivialise it with sexual innuendo does not present a positive message for the cause or our society in general.
Did you consider the question in the post? I like to know you've read and understood what I have to say there.
If this WHOLE thing causes one person to get themselves checked and its good. what would happen if it causes ONE person to be raped because of a teenaged boys impassioned confusion. (you said you liked it on the coffee table you flirted) young boys and girls are so full of crazy hormones they will say do and believe everything. or even if just one person gets tormented or tagged a promiscuos name. (have you seen the danger of bullying amonst girls... its vicious)
ReplyDeleteso tell me if "only" one person gets raped or even tormented from in relation to this, is it still good because it saved another??
